What is Baptism?
Baptism is a ceremony where a follower of Jesus is briefly submerged in water in front of friends, or family, or the church. It is a public declaration of your decision to follow Jesus.
Being immersed in water symbolizes death to our old life. Emerging from the water represents our being raised to a new life in Jesus. In this way, we identify with the death and resurrection of Jesus.
