We meet every Friday from 7pm to 9pm. Doors open at 6pm if youth want to come and hang out!

On the last Friday of every month, we run our Spark night!

Both Pulse and Collide joining together for a high-octane youth night with big games, worship, a message, and community!

Anyone in Grades 6 to 8 is welcome to come!

Yes! It would be great if you brought a friend. The more, the better.

We make sure our program and volunteers are engaging and easy to connect with. Our games and activities are planned in a way that getting to know other students is natural and fun. We work hard to make it easy!

Yes. When you come the first time, you will need to fill out the registration form on site (it can also found on the right sidebar of this webage). That's it! From then on you just show up and have fun.

Most of our nights are free, but once every few months or so we have a special event. Those events may have a cost associated with them! More details can be found closer to the event!

We don't care what you wear. But keep in mind that on Spark nights there are active games!

Pulse is a Jr. High group from grades 6 to 8. We meet 3 Fridays a month during the school year (except on holiday weekends). We play games, read the Bible, and discuss life together. We're focused on building lives to a greater understanding and trust in Jesus. And it's a lot of fun!

On small group night, we play quieter games, do a devotional and discuss. On a Spark night, we play church wide / running games, worship, and a message. Tuck is also available.

We meet at Crosslands Church in the lobby.

Pulse meets on Fridays during the school year starting at 7:00pm

Two things:

  • Pulse is one of the best places in Newmarket for Jr. Highs to build trust in God and increase your understanding of Him.
  • Pulse is one of the most entertaining things to do in Newmarket on a regular basis. Getting together with a great group of people every week ensures that you build friendships, have fun, and are always accepted.

To volunteer, you need to have graduated from High School and be able to attend most of our nights and events. It is a high level of commitment.

Please talk to Judah about getting involved: judah@crosslands.ca or 905.868.9920 extension 24. You will have to go through a screening process in order to get approval by Crosslands Church to volunteer at Pulse.

Volunteers must go through a screen process that involves a vulnerable sector police check, a one hour yearly training course on working with youth, York region accessibility training, an interview with one of the pastors at Crosslands, and provide two character references. In addition, we provide regular monthly training for our volunteers.

This ensures that our volunteers know how to work with youth to create a safe, fun environment where youth can build relationships and connect with God.
