Questions?
Anyone in grades 9 to 12 is welcome!
Yes! Your friends are always welcome.
Our volunteers make it a point to connect with everyone at Collide. We work hard to make it easy!
Yes. When you come the first time, you will need to fill out the registration form on site (it can also found on the right sidebar of this webage). That’s it! From then on you just show up and have fun.
You are always welcome to come! Hanging out with us and growing with Jesus is always free. We do host fun events every few months and they do have a cost! More details can be found closer to the next events!
We don’t care what you wear…as long as you wear something! And keep in mind that on Spark nights, there are some active games.
At the core, Collide is a group of high school students getting to know Jesus in a relaxed and relational environment. Our efforts are focused on activities that build strong, healthy relationships, focus and develop our life around Jesus, while having fun!
You can expect a great environment where teens can be themselves. We play games, eat snacks, hang out and have fun. We will learn and have open discussions on Jesus and other topics related to our daily lives.
We meet in The Annex, which is the building connected to Crosslands! It’s a great space designed for Senior High’s to hang out, have fun, and experience Jesus!
We meet in the Annex building (connected to the church building) @ 7:00pm!
Come if you want to understand God more, or want to have a strong group of loyal friends. Come if you want a reliable support system, and someone to talk to who is older than you, but isn’t your parent. Better yet, come if you want to express worship to God and laugh, and cry, and enjoy life with trusted people.
Judah is the person you want. You can email him at judah@crosslands.ca
To volunteer, you need to have graduated from High School for at least one year and be able to attend most of our meetings and events. It is a high level commitment.
Please talk to Judah about getting involved: judah@crosslands.ca. You will have to go through a screening process in order to get approval by Crosslands Church to volunteer at Collide.
Volunteers must go through a screen process that involves a vulnerable sector police check, a one-hour yearly training course on working with youth, York region accessibility training, an interview with one of the pastors at Crosslands, and provide two character references. In addition, we provide regular monthly training for our volunteers.
This ensures that our volunteers know how to work with youth to create a safe, fun environment where youth can build relationships and connect with God.
